I purchased these for use with my Nikon Monarch 7 8x30 binoculars. I now observe with the eyecups fully retracted and I can press my eyes into these soft rubber cups and take in the entire field without blackouts. I had been holding the bins a tiny distance from my eyes, even with the eyecups fully extended. This is a far more comfortable way to observe for me. A great upgrade for anyone who has similar issues with these or any other binoculars. I tend to think you get far too much eye relief these days with binoculars.
