I wanted a table for my mum to sit at because she spends her time in her bedroom. If you have a bed that is flush to the carpet this was the only suitable table I could find. Unlike the hospital style ones that you can sit up in bed to eat from. This one goes next to the bed but the table swings around and across the bed. It is counterbalance with the weighted lower shelf og the table. It's light to move around and has wheels on it too. The table is big enough for a plate and a drink. My mum loves it. She has early signs of dementia, she has a large tv and teasmaid etc I'm her bedroom so she is happiest on her bed knitting. She keeps her knitting bag on the lower shelf. So if you want a small table that can be maneuvered across a bed or sofa then this is for you. It is only small though so check it is large enough for your needs. It is very sturdy ad goes together easily. It is perfect for my mum. Highly recommend it.

The table was sent in the cheapest packaging which was wholly inadequate for item (it did state this in the listing so don’t expect Amazon quality was very flimsy cardboard). Arrived with extremely twisted metal foot and the very cheap but real wood which is very thin was gauged and dented.The metal stand is a terrible design which stays up (or not!) by butting itself up against another piece of metal… big design flaw!The delivery was Evri rather than Amazon which is never a good sign! Sent straight back.

Had an operation and needed a hand table for sofa. This is smaller than you think and a tad wobbly but it’s useful and was handy for my needs.
