These are good for a beginner & will get you started. But as you progress i am sure you will apricate better brushes. so yes I would recommend

I've been using this brush to remove watercolor from my paintings to create highlight and also to fix mistakes. Really happy with it so far. Nice sturdy bristles that don't mar my paper.

I use these brushes with soft pastels when I rescue and repaint Bratz dolls. They are stiff enough to grab the pigment, yet soft enough to turn loose of it. I haven't had any problems with broken or loose hairs in the brush. I will buy these again.
