Una buona testina, molto equilibrata ad un costo non basso, ma non stratosferico. Dopo la red ho provato questa e ne sono soddisfatto.

Ist auch mit Ortofon pick it S2 kompatibel.Diese Nadel ist auch ausgesprochen gut und hat kräftige Bässe und klare HöhenAber die blue ist noch etwas räumlicher im Klangbild und die Höhen sind klarer betont.Upgrade lohnt sich für goldene Ohren.Aber beide sind für den anspruchsvollen Hörer eine sehr gute Wahl

Ogni due anni circa sostituisco la stilo sul mio giradischi Teksonor MT101.Dopo un primo acquisto con la versione RED (arrivavo da una Shure N95) a seguito di una ristrutturazione del giradischi che mi comprò mio padre nel 1986, sono poi passato all'upgrade con la versione BLUE.Se sono al terzo acquisto vuol dire che sono pienamente soddisfatto.La qualità del suono è decisamente brillante con una bella gamma dinamica che apprezzo particolarmente sui toni alti del tweeter. Il mio uso è quasi quotidiano, ogni due anni è un buon compromesso.Il prezzo più alto rispetto alla versione base vale tutti gli euro spesi a patto di avere un impianto che possa sfruttare le potenzialità della Ortfon Blue.Sul mio sito c'è una comparazione dettagliata delle due testine per chi fosse interessato si chiama scalexsanremo.Velocità ed imballaggio in perfetto stato con Amazon. Prezzo uguale a quanto si trova in rete.

Dipende dai gusti. Alta definizione degli strumenti, enfatizza le alte frequenze,frenata sui bassi. Comprata per sostituire lo stilo red, ottima per musica classica, meno per pop- rock, sono ritornato alla red che ha più calore e sonorità analogica.

I bought this to replace the stylus on the 2m Silver. The 2m Silver is a decent cartridge. It came pre-installed on my recently purchased Pro-Ject X2, and I was enjoying it all the while knowing I would upgrade the cartridge at some point. That is one of the fun things about owning a good turntable: you can tinker with the sound over the years of ownership and continually breath new life into your music collection. The 2m Blue stylus is definitely an upgrade! Everything sounds better: more detail, more definition and tighter response in the treble and bass. I also noticed that surface noise is not as noticeable. No cartridge will eliminate surface noise completely, and I still hear some pops and clicks, but there is a noticeable difference between the two styli. I think because the soundstage is enhanced, the noise seems further in the background. I found myself much more immersed in the music and not being distracted by the surface noise like I was with the Silver. I swapped them back and forth to compare as best I could (it only takes seconds to swap them) and the differences were not subtle like on some compressed Youtube videos. In person, on a decent system, the differences are substantial. If you are thinking about swapping out your 2m Red or Silver stylus for the Blue, you can't go wrong. My system cost approximately $5000, $230 Cdn is not a lot of money in an already expensive hobby (unless you are strapped for cash, which I have been in my earlier life as a student). There is no doubt it will make your listening time much more pleasurable.I hope this was useful for anyone deliberating on this kind of decision.

Like most, I have a couple of records I use to test new equipment. My favorite is Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. I've listened to that album most of my life, on every format and type of equipment you can imagine, from basement bargin to esoteric high end. It's a record that will give any setup a nice workout. The one I used to test the Blue is the remastered 180 gram version.I was running an Ortofon Red cartridge on my restored vintage Dual 1019 and although I think the Red is a wonderful cartridge, I wanted to splurge a bit on an upgrade. Ortofon specifies that the only difference between its Red and Blue cartridges is the type of needle so with a $200 leap of faith, I ordered the Blue.Initial impressions;The soundstage got huge, with much improved channel separation. Not brighter but with a clarity and definition the Red couldn't manage. At first, I thought the Blue might have just a tad less bass than the Red but no, the Blue has very good bass, just more controlled and defined than the Red. Overall I'd say the Blue needle is more "exact" than the Red. I expect the needle will improve as it breaks in and I'll probably appreciate nuances I didn't pick up durring this initial listening session.Several other reviewers mentioned they experienced significantly reduced "clicks and pops" but I didn't notice that...same clicks and pops the Red reproduced.Next I put on Diana Krall's New Turn Up the Quiet" album. I'm not as familiar with this one as the Dark side Side of the Moon but it's a wonderful recording with a luscious mix. Some cartridges have a hard time with piano notes but the Blue needle did a great job. Close your eyes and this very talented woman will sound like she's playing right there in your room.On "No Moon at All", the Blue reproduced the strong, deep cello notes perfectly and was spot on with the upright bass lines...very impressive! On other songs you can hear the guitar player's squeaking fingers sliding up and down on the wound strings clearly, as well as the soft brush playing on the snare drum.I'll probably try playing this needle a bit lighter than the 1.80 gram weight I had on the Red, although Ortofon recommends the same weight, I think it'll track well just a bit lighter. Maybe that's why I haven't noticed the reduction in clicks and pops others have mentioned here?So yes, I think the Blue needle is a significant sound improvement over the Red and worth the price. After playing only five albums so far, I can already hear it smoothing out very nicely, because at first it sounded a bit harsh and strident but after about fifteen minutes it settled down. The Red did the same exact thing when I first installed it.
