Wood furniture can be enhanced and protected with our GRAIN GUARD Raw Linseed Oil. The oil itself is 100% natural and pure, which is a plus, and the 500ml bottle is a respectable size. It worked well to seal and maintain the natural beauty of the wood when I applied it to a wooden door. It added a wonderful touch and undoubtedly brought out the grain. But it takes a long time to dry. The oil took a lot longer to dry completely than I had anticipated, which was a little annoying. This linseed oil is a fantastic option if you can give it enough time to dry and are not in a hurry. However, if you require a finish that dries quickly, you might want to think about other options. Therefore, I'm giving it 4 stars. It's a good quality oil that provides a nice finish, but the slow drying time is a notable drawback

Il prodotto è buono, il problema è la consegna prime, dovrebbe essere il giorno dopo , invece mi è stato consegnato 3 gg dopo.

I thought at first that the cap was loose but it turned out to be the safety seal. You depress and turn rather than squeeze and turn. The oil has a very runny consistency. I used the oil to treat an oak veneered kitchen table. I applied the oil using a soft cloth. The oil was easily spread and worked into the grain of the wood. As the cloth became saturated, I found myself reducing the "top-up" dramatically. A small amount of oil covered a large area. The oil doesn't have a very strong smell and is certainly not unpleasant. This is probably just as well as it look a long time to dry. The final result was very good. Even though I hadn't sanded the table, the oil did a good job and obliterated scratches and marks.I hope you found this review useful. If you have a question, I always try to respond when Amazon forwards them to me.

I do like raw linseed, it takes longer to set then boiled linseed, but then it does not have the chemicals that are usually added to boiled linseed.Food safe is a big thing, it means I can use it on my cutting boards and anything that will come in contact with food.I do not make a fuss about linseed, it has one job for me, that is to oil my wood items in places like my kitchen, it stops them drying out and with linseed you do need to give the wood a wipe every now and then

I have several chopping boards which I made from pieces of composite oak. In order to keep them tip top they do require oiling every couple of months or so. As I use them so much, I've allowed them to dry out more than I'd like, and so I was keen to try out this 100% raw linseed oil to see if it was better than the mineral oil I'd used previously. I like that this is a natural product as opposed to petroleum based. It's also food safe, which is essential on a cutting board. The wood was so dry that I literally poured the oil on and then worked in along the grain with a soft cloth. It soaked straight in. It's going to take several coats of oiling to get the wood fully sealed. The disadvantage of this oil is that it takes a very long time to dry and harden. Each application has to be left for 24 hours before the next. This is a process of many days rather than hours. I do like the effect on the wood however, so I think it's worth the patience. It has really brought out a warm tone from the oak and subtly darkened it. I've not got it to the stage of a sheen yet where it can be polished, but so far it's looking good.A 500ml bottle is more than ample for many applications with plenty to spare for future use. A little goes a long way. One thing of note, is the disposal of the oily cloth. There is a warning that it may spontaneously combust on contact with air, and it has to be soaked in water and wrapped in a sealed bag before discarding. I want to reuse this cloth or I'd have to use quite a few. In caution, I've put it in a plastic zip bag, squeezed out the air and left it outdoors. This isn't something I'd expected to have to do.Overall, I am satisfied with the oil and I like the depth of colour it brings out on light oak. It's pleasant to use and easy to apply.
