When dealing with cables and even passive adapters like this, I’m always nervous about problems with high resolutions and/or refresh ratesI was relieved to get this working on my setup, a single 8k@60hz setup, which looks like the following:GPU DP->Adapter->(DP->mDP Cable)->MonitorThe only “complaint” I have is the form factor- you can’t use two of these if you have two adjacent mDP ports, because of the width. You can’t use them when there’s a full size HDMI port adjacent either. These may not be common circumstances outside of my own setup, but I’m mentioning it because I didn’t think much about it when orderingOn the one hand, the adaptor must to be this wide, because that’s how wide DP is. On the other hand, a “dongle” style design would resolve the issueNot being an expert in DP, I don’t know if using a dongle style design would be a trivial change or if would introduces problems. I only know it would work better for me in that style, and I would pay the extra cost
