Apart from being a decorative item, this beauty is the perfect cooking spoon, large, thick, with a good grip. I have had many wooden spoons in the past but this is in a class of its own. I ordered two, relying solely on the description, and I definitely wasn't disappointed. I am sure my cooking will improve, because when your heart is in the cooking, your food will taste divine. As long as you don't bring me your heart on a plate :-) But I am very happy with this and to anyone looking for a cooking spoon I can only say, hey, don't look any further, you have found what you are looking for. Now let's hope it lasts.

It’s a reasonable spoon. Providing you don’t leave it soaking in the sink or lying in a puddle of water then it’s easy to clean due to the smooth finish. The square cross section of the handle makes it easy to hold, and prevents it twisting in your hand. It’s quite chunky, so may not be to everyone’s taste. But my wife seems to like it, so might get another one, or look for other ones with a similar finish.
