I have used epoxy many times before so this element of the kit was nothing new. I was pleased to see the range of metal coloured powders that it could be mixed with as well as the mixing vessel and sticks – everything you could need.With much guilt at not having fixed it before, I knew immediately that I needed to piece together the cast I took 13 years ago of my daughter’s foot. It had been lying broken for a few years and I hadn’t known what to do with it. The break unfortunately happened at the site of the foot imprint and as the imprint was so faint, there was hardly any definition unless you looked at a certain angle. For this reason, I decided it would be best to use the epoxy on its own rather that make the footprint less distinct with a gold or silver addition. But I am very pleased to say the cast has glued well and I only wish I’d done this a long time ago and I am now on the lookout for broken pottery and porcelain that I can fix with a golden glue.Very happy with the kit and recommend it.

I applied it wrong and couldn't get the result that i wanted but it is on me.The product itself is good and works well both in texture and color.

Chiariamoci la tecnica del kintsugi autentica è un'altra cosa,tuttavia questo Kit soddisfa pienamente le esigenze di un hobbista che vuole realizzare un oggetto con caratteristiche similari.I tempi di asciugatura sono veramente rapidi, il prodotto si solidifica quasi completamente entro i due minuti indicati per cui consiglio di pianificare con cura quanto prodotto miscelare a seconda dei frammenti che si vuole incollare e procedere per zone, in modo da avere prodotto sempre fluido ed evitare sprechi.Ho scoperto in modo del tutto casuale che l'alcol etilico denaturato a 90° può servire per rimuovere residui del prodotto ancora fresco se utilizzato immediatamente.Altro consiglio, se si vuole che la saldatura dorata risalti maggiormente, è quello di limare con una lima metallica i bordi dei cocci che si vogliono riunire.Questo non solo crea una superficie più porosa ma rendendo i bordi meno perfettamente aderenti darà spazio al collante dorato per mostrarsi maggiormente.Molto soddisfatta del primo esperimento.

The pack comes with 50ml of clear two part adhesive, 4 pots of metallic look powder, stirrers, a silicone mixing pot, and a couple of pairs of one use gloves.I have reviewed other products by this brand and this again meets a nice high standard. This time we have the metallic repair which can be used to enhance the object being repaired, in its own way improving the look of what went before.The product is well presented, each of the pots of powder is sealed (this makes getting the screw lid off a little hard to start but once off and the seal removed it becomes a whole lot easier) in four colours. Given how easily the powder fully tints the glue the amount of each powder is very generous, you could probably go through several tubes before you used it all. The quantity you use with each mix will be an "eye" thing, irrespective of suggested amounts, the process is after all aesthetic as well as a repair. The powder mixes in nicely, the twin barrelled tube is easy to use and the lid designed to keep it correctly located when replaced.I very much like the twin tube system and the way it is implemented here, the pots of powder are in themselves of good quality, the silicone mixing pot is a great addition, simply crack the cured glue off when dry, a time saver. The working time is fine and the cure to hard time is quite quick, so I'd suggest if you have a time consuming repair you make the adhesive in batches "as you go" or you'll find it's hardening before use.The gold I made up was vibrant and would contrast beautifully as part of some dark porcelain or earthenware repair.Given the considered nature of the items included in the pack, the generous amount of powders, the quality of the adhesive and the overall effect of the mix, I'd say that the price (£8.88 at the time of review) represents amazingly good value. Happy to recommend this product.
