Wow super nice sounding strings don t wobble as much so you can pull a little harder for a longer substain of note. Love the feel of these strings they just made my ubass so much better and eliminated string buzz. PS I used 2 zipp ties on end off strings instead of tieing a knot when installing strings

I wanted to give these strings some play time before reviewing the quality. Love the sound of these strings. They don’t rumble like the black strings that are original to a Kala UBass. The tone is clean and solid. They were a little sticky in the beginning but I made a little bag filled with baby powder to apply to my fingertips and that really helps.

By far my favorite of the available U-Bass strings. YMMV, but for me the Rumblers have just the right amount of tension, and a very satisfying sound.The original 'Pahoehoe' strings were a bit floppy and rubbery for my taste (though I know some people love them), and at least on my U-Bass the E string was much too quiet relative to the other three. Also (at least with the set I used) there were pretty serious intonation problems on higher frets.The Pyramid wound strings were an interesting idea, but again the E just wasn't loud enough on my instrument.Aquila Thunderguts were a huge improvement in feel, tone, and intonation, and I find the Rumblers to be the next step up from Thunderguts.
